About VSO
VSO is the world’s leading independent international development organisation that works through volunteers to fight poverty in developing countries. Role overview
In this role, you will carry out a labour market skill survey to review the relevance of the previous survey in 2015. This will help identifying new employment opportunities and current skills gaps, so that in the future we are able to involve more young people to participate in this project. That will help to reduce poverty and exclusion among the most vulnerable groups in Tanzania. In this placement, a review of the previous labour market skill analysis which focused on the regions of Lindi, Mtwara, Pwani, Morogoro and Dar es Salaam will be carried out. New employment opportunities and changes in skill demand, particularly at the entry level, as well as skills gaps concerning young people participating in this project have to be identified. This survey will be executed from the office in Dar es Salaam with the occasional traveling to the regions for the analysis and information gathering.
