Assistant Stores Administrator
Description
The successful candidate will be fully responsible to execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and maximizes stock system and paperwork accuracy meanwhile driving cost down and improving performance.
Qualifications and competencies required:
• Holder of Advanced Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Inventory or related field.
Tasks:
• Develop the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalizing inventory and maximizing available working capital
• Manage and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations.
• Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital
• Ensure sub contract processes are received back and that suppliers are chased to ensure no late delivery situation.
• Provide routine management information on inventory performance
• Monitor and evaluate consumables usage & costs, material utilization and scrap.
• Working with customers to ensure that key processes are running efficiently and cost-effectively
• Understanding and keeping up with new trends and regulations in the business
• Provides advice to users regarding the inventory process
• Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimize costs and maximize working capital
• Create visibility and ensure timely delivery of back orders
• Effective control of Stores Requisitions
• Management of Consignment Stock
• Control and custody of preprinted stationery
• Ensure stock discrepancies are adequately investigation
• Drive review of obsolescence and application for expired chemical write-offs and disposal in conformance with legislation.
• Manage intercompany stock transfer
• Write and maintain accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system
• Produce daily & monthly reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved.
• Have a detailed understanding of MRP and inventory control / management systems and ERP.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
