Job Title: Communications, Sustainability and Responsibility Manager

Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) is a fully integrated beverage business in Diageo Africa (supply and demand for beer and spirits) It is a subsidiary of East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL), the largest business unit in Diageo Africa and the largest listed Company on the NSE in Kenya.
SBL flagship brand is Serengeti Premium Lager. Other brand portfolios include Serengeti Premium Lite, Tusker Lager, Tusker Lite, Kibo Gold, Guinness, Senator and Pilsner King. Headquartered in Dar es Salaam, SBL is also the distributor of several global Diageo international renowned spirit brands such as Johnnie Walker®, Ciroc®, Smirnoff Vodka®, Bailey’s Irish Cream®, Richot®, Bond 7 Whiskey® and Gilbeys Gin®.

Purpose of Role
Support the CR Director in shaping and implementing corporate and functional communications strategies Drive implementation of SBL sustainability and Responsibility programs demonstrating the impact of the program to social economic development of communities and the country at large.

CommunicationResponsible for administration of all communications done across all the business units in SBL.Writing/editing for newsletters, organisational updates and other internal programs / drivesOverall responsibility for corporate communications and PR cycle plan and management of relevant agencies.Monitor the external environment to identify reputation building opportunities as well as threats to corporate reputation and respond accordingly.Determine the appropriate content and route for information cascades, by providing advice and suppor
Sustainability and ResponsibilityResponsible in handling matters related to donations to and any community support related engagementsMaintain a clan plan for community support initiatives to internal and external stakeholdersResponsible in administrating Water for Life projectsResponsible in rolling out Responsible Drinking campaignEnsure engagement with key stakeholders around our approach on Alcohol in Society and identify best collaborationsMobilise support and involvement of other SBL business function in the implementation of community support programs Timely prepare and disseminate reports on community support programs implementation

Qualifications
Degree in Public Relations /Journalism or related field

Experience
4-6 years’ experience in public relations or CSR activitiesWorking knowledge of business operations and strong commercial awarenessProven experience in building relationships with key partners throughout the organisationHas demonstrated good project management skills in implementing community support initiatives
