Excellent College of Health and Allied Sciences is an accredited training institution that is registered by National Council for Technical (NACTE) at Boko Msikitini, Bagamoyo Road, Kinondoni, Dares Salaam to offer Health training programs. The college is now looking for Tutors in Pharmaceutical Sciences; Clinical Medicine; Medical Laboratory Science; or Nursing and Midwifery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate clearly, correctly and effectively to the college community.
• Preparation and provision of notes to the student for at mentioned tutorial position.
• Provision of test, assignments, practical, and trainings to students where necessary.
• Co-operation with other staff and students in case of organizational events and issues is necessary.
• Maintaining discipline to fellow academic staff (tutors), non academic staff and all students of excellent college, faithfulness and hard working spirit is agreed and enforced.
• Member of faculty and other supportive staff meeting for the Pharmaceutical Sciences; Clinical Medicine; Medical Laboratory Science; or Nursing and Midwifery department.
• Communicate with the professional regulatory authority (Pharmacy Council, Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council; Tanzania Health Laboratory Practitioners Council; Medical Council of Tanganyika; National Council For Technical Education; and Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children)
• Act as the examination officer for the Pharmaceutical Sciences; Clinical Medicine; Medical Laboratory Science; or Nursing and Midwifery department.
• Perform the Effective planning of student schedules and manage the student attendance timings effectively.
• Ensure Provision of academic, career and personal guidance and counseling for prospective, new and continuing students.
• Work with students to develop comprehensive educational plans workshops.
• Coordinates the implementation of Student Success plan including admissions, assessment, orientations, counseling and follow up components.
• Attending any other duties assigned by the college Head of the Medical School/Health department.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Pharmacy, Medical Doctor , Medical Laboratory Science; nursing and Midwifery or/and any other relevant training
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Medical Schools/ Health Training Institution and experienced applicant will get preference
• Outgoing and pleasant personality, positive service attitude and enjoy interacting with people.
• Solid organization skills and the ability to prioritize and stay focused on assigned priorities, work independently to meet internal and external deadlines and produce a consistently high-quality service.
• Able to handle stress and work pressure in a demanding work environment
• Highly organized, strategic, visionary focused, results oriented and flexible
• Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines.
• Solid critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to work independently to assess available information, draw conclusions and understandings, and present such conclusions effectively to other parties.
• Solid communication skills and the ability to listen critically and interact with individuals at all levels of the college.
• Ability to manage and administer student inquires, manage fees and bank accounts, class timetables, student welfare and account handling.
• Solid technology skills, including Excel, Word, automated accounting software, business intelligence cubes.

• Demonstrated ability to show initiative, exercise judgment and adapt to change.
• Knowledge of Medical Sciences, research, consultation, project management, and cultural awareness.

• Focal person to the professional regulatory authority (Pharmacy Council, Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council; Tanzania Health Laboratory Practitioners Council; Medical Council of Tanganyika; National Council For Technical Education; and Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children)
• In the absence of the Principal, can assume the responsibilities of the Principal.
• Chief examination officer for the Pharmaceutical Sciences; Clinical Medicine; Medical Laboratory Science; or Nursing and Midwifery department.
