Description Application Instructions
1. Main purpose of the position:
The Laboratory technician is responsible for quality assurance activities to ensure quality standards; is also responsible for carrying out the analysis of the raw material, product and to insuring that quality targets are met through consistent quality compliance
2. Key responsibilities:
• Carrying out the analysis of composition of the molten pot baths as per laid down procedures.
• Carrying out the analysis of mass coating weight test as per laid down.
• Carrying out the analysis of hydrogen plant DM water pH and TDS and density of KOH as per laid down.
• Carrying out the analysis of RO plant and cooling tower as per laid down.
• Carrying out of the analysis of the composition of passivation and alkali cleaning chemicals as per laid down procedures.
• Issuing Aluminium zinc coated to Daniel and RF machines.
• Carrying out the testing of corrugation sheet and checking oil contamination.
• Preparation of daily management of product and process variable report
• Carrying out of analysis of raw materials as per laid down procedures.
• Records keeping.
• Ensuring good housekeeping in the laboratory.
• Perform any other related duties as Management may require from time to time.
3. Qualifications:
The required candidate for this position should have a minimum qualification of Diploma in science and Laboratory technology with two years experience as Laboratory Technician (Industrial training will be an added advantage) and s/he should be able to work in shift.
