RECEPTIONIST
Nature and Scope:
It is the primary objective of the Receptionist to perform basic office functions including conducting business with EFC customers in a responsible, positive manner. The Receptionist is accountable to provide customer reception and general secretarial service in a knowledgeable and professional manner

Key Responsibilities
• Provide reception, information and secretarial services as required;
• Maintain a filing system for the correspondence and files of the EFC;
• Provide administrative support as required;
• Maintain a clean and orderly working environment at all times;
• Complete or transcribe EFC monthly reports as required;
• Perform other functions consistent with available skills.

Other tasks and responsibilities that will enable the fulfilment of the above noted responsibilities include:

• Ensure that magazines, reports, newspapers and marketing materials in the reception area are neatly placed and that the area is tidy and well kept;
• Greet and direct visitors and customers with respect and courtesy and give them appropriate information concerning the EFC;
• Receive and redirect phone calls as required or provide the requested information directly;
• Take messages when the requested person is absent and ensure the message is delivered/received;
• Organize and maintain a filing system for mail, reports, memorandums and files of the EFC;
• Receive, distribute and despatch mail as required;
• Prepare written correspondence and memorandums as required and check work for typographical or spelling errors;
• Support various operations related to the security of the premises, equipment and valuables;
• Ensure proper copying procedures including ordering and stocking of supplies;
• Verify that lights, air-conditioning, and any other electrical equipment are turned off and windows are closed at the end of each working day;
• Contribute to the development and preservation of a collaborative working environment with all EFC personnel;
• Performance of any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications & Requirements (i.e. education, skills and experience)
The Receptionist should have good practical knowledge of operations in the financial services sector and the foresight to see how the intricate day-to-day activities link with and support the achievement of the vision and mission of EFC. In this regard, specific qualifications and requirements include:

• College Diploma in Business related studies;
• A minimum of one year of related experience;
• Good knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures;
• Good knowledge of computers and relevant software applications;
• Good knowledge of customer service principles and practices;
• Very good keyboard skills (i.e. minimum 45 wpm);
• Strong people / relationship skills with a customer service orientation;

MICRO, SME & HOUSING LOAN CREDIT OFFICERS
Nature and Scope:
The successful candidates will report to the respective Credit Manager’s in Microfinance, SME and Housing Loans departments. He/She will be responsible for marketing of potential borrowers, undertake comprehensive loan analysis for loan applications submitted, ensure approval and repayment of all loans within his/her loan portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
• Market the banks products and services;
• Solicit loan applications from potential borrowers, collect all required documentations and examine both the completeness and correctness;
• Visit and validate the loan application documentation regarding the business, collateral, Guarantors, including to obtain appropriate identification of the business ownership;
• Undertake appraisal of the loan applications including analysis of the data and evaluating the project to facilitate decision making;
• Inform the loan applicant on the decision made by the bank and next steps recommended;
• Monitor credit facilities and financed projects to ensure repayment and proper use of funds;
• Develop a strong and quality loan portfolio in line with the set targets;
• Undertake proper loan recovery activities as prescribed by the bank; and
• Carry out any other duties assigned by Supervisor from time to time.

Qualification and Requirements:
• University Graduate in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Banking or related discipline.
• At least three (3) years banking experience in credit which includes evaluation of loan application proposals.
• Motivated and strong sales and marketing skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure tight deadlines to achieve sales targets.

Position Objectives
It is the primary objective of the Customer Service Officer to enthusiastically promote and sell EFC products and services by engaging potential and existing customers with information and through active participation in marketing activities. This position is accountable to:

• Meet potential clients in public markets and other entrepreneur gathering places;
• Open new customer accounts;
• Process customer account opening with discretion and confidentiality;
• Ensure the highest standards of service quality and complete customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Customer Service Officer is primarily responsible to:

• Comply with the EFC Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct at all times;
• Perform all marketing and sales related tasks for the mutual benefit of the customer and the EFC;

• Politely informing and assisting new customers in the account opening process;
• Reporting to the Branch Manager the number of newly opened accounts at the end of each day;
• Ensuring that all the required documents are completed, signed by the client and filed as prescribed;
• Giving the supporting documents, forms, reports and any other document required to the Branch Manager;
• Sharing his or her knowledge with new employees/trainees as applicable;
• Performance of any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Branch Manager.
