JOB DESCRIPTION OF A MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN POST

Holder of a Degree /Diploma in laboratory technician from a recognized institution with at least 2 to 3 years works experience.

Basic o-level secondary education

Must have a valid working license

Must have registered in Laboratory medical

Responsibilities.

1. Report to the medical officer in charge.

2. In charge of the company laboratory

3. Specimen collection and investigation to help proper diagnosis of diseases by our clinicians.

4. Making orders of laboratory reagents.

5. Administrative work within the laboratory.

6. Preparation of duty roster, monthly and annual reports.

7. Maintenance and detection of faults in equipment

8. Training of subordinate staff.

Holder of a certificate in laboratory

Basic O-level secondary education

Must have a valid working license

RESPONSIBILITIES.

Assist the laboratory technician

Perform all duties as assigned by the laboratory in charge.

Perform daily routine laboratory duties E.g Parasitological, hematological tests, stool, and urine test and sputum examinations.

Performance and interpretation of routine and standard and laboratory tests accordingly.
