HESLB: Ten (10) Basic Criteria for Loan Applicants for Academic Year 2017/2018

HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS’ LOANS BOARD

DO YOU WANT TO APPLY FOR A HIGHER EDUCATION LOAN FOR AY 2017-2018?

• THE FOLLOWING ARE THE TEN (10) BASIC/KEY CRITERIA

1. Must be a Tanzanian;
2. Must be admitted by a fully accredited University and HLI for Degree, HD and Diploma

Must be a person with no financial assistance from other sources;

3. Must have applied for loan through OLAMS;
4. Must be a continuing student who has passed exams and is progressing to the next year;
5. Must have been admitted as a full-time student;
6. Must have completed ACSE, or equivalent qualifications not earlier than 2015/16
7. Must be under 30 years of age at the time of application;
8. Applicants whose parents are Directors and Senior Managers in private companies recognized by revenue and registration authorities are expected not to apply;
9. Applicants whose parents are leaders under Public Leadership Code of Ethics Act (as amended) are not expected to apply.
