IRRIGATION ENGINEER

Description


• Manage and monitor irrigation bulk water supply
for sugar cane irrigation.
• Coordinate maintenance schedule of irrigation
pumps to manage irrigation pumping LTA.
• Manage irrigation equipment inventories and
timing ordering of spare parts.
• Repair of underground irrigation infrastructure
network.
• Controls and ensures the efficiency machinery
resources utilization.
• Controls and ensures the economic material
resources utilization.
• Ensures all underground main system is
performing as per laid down design and procedures.
• Delivers weekly and monthly irrigation performance
reports.
• To be an overall coordinator and controller of both
irrigation/drainage quality and productivity.
• Ensures that irrigators are well trained, sets
irrigation rate on the Pivot/Linear control panel and
maintain pivot/Linear tracks.
• Be able to conduct irrigation efficiency evaluation
for a specific irrigation system.
• Manage infield irrigation equipment status, layout
and performance.
• Capable of carrying out infield irrigation design,
drawings and measurements.



APPLICATION INSTRUCTION


BSc. in Irrigation Engineering.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in similar
role or related fields of business.
• Computer literate.
• Business acumen knowledge.
• People management, leadership and report writing
skills.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
• Self driven and able to deliver without
compromising compliance.
• Mentally and physically fit.
