JOB VACANCIES AT TANZANIA MINES ENERGY CONSTRUCTIONS TAMICO





Tanzania Mines Energy Constructions and Allied workers Union registered through employment and labor Relations Act No. 6 0f 2004 is an independent workers judicial organ to represent and serve member who are working in Mine, Energy and constructions sectors. TAMICO invite applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the following positions

POSITION: ACCOUNTANT
REPORT TO GENERAL SECRETARY
APPOINTING AUTHORITY THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE


QUALIFICATIONS

Holder a bachelor degree of commerce accountancy or professional level II or equivalent qualifications with experience of 3 years must be a computer literacy in accounts package and registered with NBAA in the category of Approved Accountants

DUTIES
i. to maintain union books of accounts and projects/programme books of accounts
ii. to prepare monthly payroll of the union staff
iii. make follow up of union member fees and contributions
iv. to control and follow up outstanding payments
v. to verify and authorized payment voucher
vi. to maintain fixed asset register
vii. to prepare and submit statutory deduction and other taxes in time
viii. prepare monthly, quarterly semiannual and annual financial report
ix. prepare and keep financial records, reports and services
x. To keep proper custody of accounting documents

OTHER COMPETENCIES
– Good communication in spoken and written Kiswahili
– Competency in project program accountings
– Good judgment analytical and conceptual skills
– Good interpersonal and demonstrated ability to work independently
